@mrs scooter - a few times she's ended up with her face really mashed into the bumper which makes me nervous. And she's staring to grab onto the top of them to try to look over, so I think they at be coming off soon. We actually had them off earlier but twice she woke up screaming w her legs and arms stuck out of the crib. If we take them off I may it one of her A&A blankets in the corner for her to snuggle up against.

@ foodnerd81 & friedbabymama: thanks...does the breathable bumper provide any cushion?

Mine does that too :)

@Mrs. Scooter: I was paranoid about the SIDS bumper thing, and so at the beginning, we didn't have one. But when the scooting and bumping began, my LO kept getting his leg stuck painfully, so we got the "breathable bumper" which has been great!

My oldest used to sleeo perpendicular and smash his face into a corner to sleep in his crib. When he got longer he would just bend his legs. So weird!!

Yes! Whenever I look at the monitor she's in a silly position and usually right in the corner.

My nephew did that. He was sleeping in the Pack and Play once and his forehead was so squashed against the side he woke up with the pattern imprinted on his face.

@Mrs. Scooter: My sister ended up putting the breathable bumpers in the crib after he got his hand or foot caught in the slats. He was moving around the crib pretty good by then.

She gets herself all contorted around in her crib these days too. @Mrs. Scooter: I opted to go without bumpers. I figured they didn't exists 100 years ago, and babies made it just fine. DH says she'll only bumb her head once or twice before she'll stop.

this talk of bumpers makes me wonder...bumper or no bumper? in a fit of insecurity, i took off all my pretty bumpers i bought before i had my baby but she's almost 8 months now and is moving all over the place like your LO's...she does smack her head a lot, and she cries and it's really sad. but because she's moving around so much is that a case to not have the bumpers because she may mash her face into them? i'm confused. what do you all think?

Yes! She is either sideways in the crib or in the corner. And we don't have bumpers so I'm always worried she's going to smack her head on those bars.

Its so funny to watch her scoot around throughout the night. But maybe i'll just put her down in the corner to save her all the work!
