Oh yeah, LO eats way less when he's not feeling well. I wouldn't worry about it at all if she's still nursing ok.

She's nursing a lot, so I think she's getting enough calories, she just doesn't want much to do with solids this week.

My son ate a lot less the two weeks he had a cold, the ped even mentioned it at our WBV because he wasn't gaining as consistently as before. I was really concerned about it, but as long as he had wet diapers we knew he was hydrated enough.

Voodoo magic, you are funny! Yes, I do notice that appetite gets thrown off by sickness and teething. The doctor always tells me that it doesn't matter if they eat but just make sure they have plenty of liquids when sick. Hope your LO is better soon!

LO hasn't had a cold yet (knock on wood!) but I feel like it would be normal not to want to eat when you have a cold. Tastebuds change and you just don't feel good. I wouldn't worry about it. Food right now isn't for nutritous value, it's just for funsies. I'm sure everything will be back to normal once the cold is gone.

Hope your LO feels better soon!

Baby's had a cold since the end of last week, her papa had a fever so we luckily avoided that so far, but she's got quite the runny nose. She'd been eating several ounces of solids a day and seemed excited about trying new things the week before. This week with the cold she takes about two bites and then doesn't want anymore, whether it's cereal or fruit or veggie or meat. Anyone else's LO eat less solids when they have a cold or does hellobee have some voodoo magic that is getting me back because I said she was a good eater.
