I don't think she'll be forgetting any time soon. She asked for it as soon as she woke up (no you may not!) and when she got home from daycare. We will limit her to two pieces a day until it's gone. At the rate I'm eating out of her bowl though, it won't last long!

Already forgotten, it seems! He had one piece last night (he was not overly enthralled, to be honest) and I kind of expected him to ask for a piece tonight after dinner, but he asked for dessert and then chose something else! The problem is that I know it's there and have taken "just one piece" way too many times already today...

I think B might have forgotten - he didn't ask about it and when we offered him a piece after dinner he had a bit of an "oh right, I have candy!" moment.

We didn't collect as much this time but she sorta forgot. As long as it's not out in the open she won't even ask. She's mostly just biting them and throwing them out.

DD never forgets ANYTHING, so I would imagine she will remember her candy is here. It's currently in a bowl on the dining room table, but she hasn't asked for any today. I think she got a tummyache from the few pieces she had last night. I'll probably end up sticking it in the freezer like I do with all the holiday candy and it will end up getting chopped and put into cookies or something. DH will eat everything that isn't chocolate since DD and I both don't like stuff like that.

No, my son remembers what he did 3 years ago...but he doesn't care about most of the candy. He picks out what he likes and gives the rest away.

@Purpledaisy: I definitely ate more than her yesterday!
One of the kids on Friday's event showed LO how to eat candy along the way while TOTing. She seemed to forget that last night and was good about just putting it on the side.

We did something different this year. We split it up and took turns choosing candy until it was gone. I even made LO 'donate' 5 of her least favorite candies and DH and I donated from our candy pile to the 'donations'. Now we have to find someone to donate it to. :) Probably our neighbors.

I also am doing a trial of letting LO keep her own candy ziploc and dole out one piece a day to herself. She's 5 and seems pretty self disciplined so we'll see how that goes.

@Purpledaisy: when we have it I let my LO eat it with breakfast too, it's usually the first thing out of her mouth when she wakes up!

We don't have TOTing in our neighborhood so we got maybe 10 pieces of candy total at the library this year and that was it since I was solo last night, so it wasn't even a thing this year. But no, my daughter never forgets

Mine did last year (age 2) but this year she seems more into it so we will see. I put all the candy in the pantry so hopefully out of sight, out of mind. In case she doesn't forget, DH and I will gradually be thinning out her supply (I already brought about a third of it to work this morning).

We keep it in a bucket on top of the fridge year round (Christmas and Easter get added to it) and he gets a piece after dinner most nights. He asks for a treat when he eats all his dinner, but doesn't ask for any otherwise.

My child forgets nothing. Ever. DD is almost 2 and the first thing she said this morning was candy. Last night she didn't even eat any, she just likes to play with the wrappers. We did let her eat a piece today though and she loved it.

We had to put it in a different spot because she realized where it was and would not stop begging for it.

Two years in a row now, my daughter has gone trick-or-treating, asked for one piece that night and then kind of forgotten about her candy. We will keep it in a bowl on top of the fridge for a while, and then get rid of it.

Does your LO forget about their candy or are they obsessed with it?
