They've been getting up around 5:30 (toooo early) so DH goes and gets them and brings them to our bed. I can tandem nurse them while I'm almost entirely asleep for a good half hour.

My 3 yo never comes into our room at night, but she will cry out for us to come to her. She's not locked in her room or anything but she never gets out of bed, just cries and yells until we come in. Like you, if it's middle of the night and dh or I go in and lay down with her she will go back to sleep. After 4 or 5 it's a lot harder. DH handles 90% of the toddler wake ups since I have to be there when the baby wakes up.

My girls go to sleep in their own rooms. But it feels like more often than not, I wake up to my almost 4 year old climbing into my bed with her blanket. If it's the middle of the night she will go back to sleep, but4 am and on she is up. Ugh. I've resorted to bribes to keep her in her room (after being up all night with her sister I just want to sleep, not be talked to all night!)
