She's only gotten sick once, at 8 months and it was just a small cold that didn't last long. I'm a SAHM though, so she's not exposed to a lot. And if she were sick, I'm home with her anyway.

Mavrick gets sick a lot but it's more of a cold / fever than anything else. Luckily (knock on wood) he's never had any ear / throat infections. So I can deal with a cold.

Poor Charlie! My mom went through this with my brother because he was a preemie and had a weak immune system. The good news is that with each year of his life my bro's immune system got better and he was sick less and less often. Hope it's that way for Charlie!!

In the meantime can you maybe ask your day care provider to be extra careful with Charlie? Extra hand washing, keeping a close eye on making sure nothing goes in his mouth, etc.

It seems like he is always sick. He's been sik the last two weeks. But luckily our babysitter will take him anyways. Otherwise we have some flexibility in work scheduling. So far nothing drastic.

I think it just depends on their immune system. LO goes to daycare and rarely gets sick. I am sorry - it must be so hard for you and Bee. And Charlie, too, of course! =(

LO has only gotten sick once...kinda. (When she had roseola). She's caught minor bugs 3 times so far. No fever, but annoying congestion.

My son doesn't get sick often cause he's at home (my mom watches him). He'll get the occassional cold here and there but nothing major. We plan on sending him to daycare part time in a few months so I'm sure he'll get sick a lot more often once he's in school. AUGH!

DS got sick ALL the time, I don't know how I didn't get fired! Luckily I only worked 3 days a week, so that helped.

Charlie seems to get sick a lot, even for a kid in daycare...

He caught a respiratory virus two weeks ago that gave him two ear infections and a wheeze. Then just when he recovered, he came down with a throat infection yesterday... he woke up last night at 10:45 with a 102 fever, and has been struggling ever since.

A lot of Charlie's friends at daycare get exposed to the same daycare viruses and don't get sick nearly as much... I guess he just has a weak immune system. :-(

It's really hard to balance home and work when your kid is sick a lot. Bee and I were just talking about how if we had a boss, they would fire us.

Does your LO get sick a lot? How do you manage it?
