Hmmm he wears jeans all the time. We have them from Crazy 8, Joe Fresh and Gap and he doesn't mind any of them. But generally he's not very particular about being dressed and he now has to wear a uniform to school/daycare every day.

He doesnt mind st all. Wears jeans every day. They dont seem to limit his mobility at all and actually ptotect his legs and knees from getting banged up bc of the thick material. I started him young so maybe thats why, they dont bother him. He does wear leggings too, byr doesnt seem to prefer them over jeans.

DS doesnt care! I usually put him in Nonjeans because I prefer comfort for him and usually save jeans for church, events, outings.

She mostly wears jeggings and we even have some fleece lined jeggings. If she is in a true jean fabric, it's usually Osh Kosh overalls. DD is 2.5.

She hates various clothes for various reasons. Pants are always "too tight" or "scratchy," nothing can have tags or seams that stick into her. She mostly wears leggings and jeggings, with a few pairs of jeans I can convince her to wear sometimes.

My DS hates jeans but we did find 2 pairs that are soft enough to gain his approval. A pair from old navy (pull on) in lightweight denim and a Tea Collection denim look pant that looks like denim but is really just a regular knit pant.

@cascademom: :happy:

@Anagram: I think there are way more comfy pants options for girls than boys! I've been buying DS girl "jeggings" at old navy that look like jeans but are soft and stretchy. I'm hoping that stores will slowly start coming out with more stylish comfy pants in the boys section too.

My LO wears toddler jeans almost daily and has no issues moving. At all. She climbs on everything. But all the jeans I've ever seen for her age are totally stretchy--most are pull-on and don't even have zippers. I buy them mainly at Old Navy, Target, and Crazy 8 (those have a button and zipper, but they have a stretchy waistband so I just pull them on and off).

@littlebug: there are varying levels....Gymbo has ones that are fleece lined and they're warm. The jersey lined are pretty light, my son, who runs hot, doesn't complain with those.

I forgot, also Old Navy has some. Full disclosure, though, my son wears a lot of sweatpants!

D is 2 and yes, he protests them. I LOVE the Carter's knit "jeans" (we call them pajama jeans), and am heartbroken they don't make them past 24m sizes. The only jeans that he mildly tolerates are the H&M ones that are too big and as loose as possible on his waist. Otherwise, no dice. For the most part, I don't put him in "real" pants anyway. He's at daycare all day, running around and getting dirty. And I don't like to nap in real pants, so why should I expect he would? But I'm having a hard time finding knit pants that aren't either athletic mesh/swishy pants or heavy sweatpants over size 24m.

my daughter always yells "too tight!" if i try to put her in jeans with an actual waistband. if the material is soft and the waist band is a stretchy one (not just adjustable- it can't have a fly or buttons) she is okay with it.
We cloth diaper, and I've always assumed she wouldn't mind them as much once she didn't have to wear a bulky diaper...but maybe not!

@BadgerMom: Comfy doesn't mean you're limited to athletic or sweatpants...I use jersey or fleece lined chino pants for my son and they're extremely practical.
Gymboree has a great selection, as does Childrens Place and sometimes Gap.

I'm actually really opposed to stiff clothing for children - especially for little girls. I really hate the way that little girls (and boys too) are expected to be pretty and tidy at the expense of comfort, ease of movement, enjoyment, etc. It's just the first lesson in how your appearance matters more than any of those things - and I just refuse to teach my daughter that.

My 3 year old doesn't own any jeans, and I'm unlikely to buy any for her. Instead, she wears tights and leggings all year round, with soft cotton shorts and skirts in the summer. When she gets old enough to decide to suffer for fashion on her own, she's welcome to. But I won't force her to at any point.

DD1 has always disliked them! DD2 doesn't mind them. I hope this continues because I think jeans look so good on little girls. These are all the skinny/jegging type of jeans so I feel like they are comfortable?? I can see other types being hard to move around in though.
