Plus my mom has been coming to visit for DS's birthday but I'm not sure she always will. He had two small parties in day care and at home, but I still feel awful about it because he hasn't seen these kids for a while and that would have been their one chance in months to meet. We didn't want to do a whole big thing at a restaurant or party place. </p> <p>Now we have a house and my younger daughters first bday is next week but we can't have a party for her before her big sister has a proper party!! </p> <p>We do always do cake with family at home and something special that day- this year we brought her to an indoor bouncehouse thing and she loved it. </p> <p>@mrbee: not quite the same but my birthday is two days after dhs.
