It's already closing up though. He has an upper lip tie, like me & DH, but we've both had straight adult teeth. Our pediatrician wasn't concerned about DS. Plus these babies will lose those teeth in elementary school and who knows what the adult teeth will grow in looking like. I've been advised not to clip any lip or tongue ties (both my kids have both!) unless they cause feeding or speech issues. Wagon Jr. had one too and it closed up once all his other teeth came in. His teeth are pretty straight right now. They both said that it's impossible to know as a baby whether a lip tie will cause issues, and they would never recommend clipping it for dental reasons at such a young age. If it does become an issue later on, they would do it then. Made me feel a bit better! And my SO's aunt is a dental hygienst and she said not to worry, he may outgrow it. I had an upper lip tie too though and had a huge gap and needed braces.
