She was only 4 months so I was still pretty worried about suffocating, especially since she loves to smash blankets onto her face. So no blankets. I opted for a small soft dinosaur. Fortunately she loves it. It worked out really well. I love watching her on the monitor as she calmly plays with it, when she might otherwise be freaking out. I actually didn't think he'd take to anything for a long time, and all the items I introduced as potential loveys weren't a hit. Eventually he just fell in love with a crappy Walmart blanket I found in the closet that must have been a gift or hand me down (I have no idea), and then latched onto a giant black teddy bear from Toys R Us. He has Angel Dear loveys, other kind of similar loveys, and these small blankets my mom made him in the same plushy material.
