My son is obsessed with keys and has to carry one at all times (he even sleeps with it). However daycare does not really allow us to bring stuff in so they usually take it away and put it in his cubby. They ask we don't bring anything in. Other kids get jealous they don't have anything. Sometime she wants to bring something to show her teachers or friends so we take it and then DH and I take it with us when we leave. LO has her "puppy" that comes along. I just learned from her teacher today that she has 2 friends who will help her find it if it gets lost - so cute! We have 2 because when she first started daycare a couple months ago she wouldn't ever put it down and it got so dirty (and covered in paint once!) that we would have to wash it every time.
