My daughter is 10 months and I just sent her application off because we are going to Hawaii for another wedding. They actually tried to fingerprint my 6 month old. I was like "go for it dude" while I silently died laughing. They have to take a picture of the kid. Apparently I need to take her back in 2 or 3 years and reattempt finger printing. Once you can enter their fingerprints in the kiosk they no longer get an "X" printout. So basically right now I put her passport in the kiosk and it spits out an "X" which I take to the diplomat line and they let you cut the line and they wave her through. Also FYI you still have to fill out a customs form for her but you get the fast global entry customs line. It just expired recently I think so it was for 3 years. We have no current travel plans but I intend to get them both passports soon. Yes, she has three passports (not even sure that's allowed, but meh) and they are all good for five years.</p> <p>DD2 got her first passport at two months old and her second passport at 11 months old. She should have a third passport from the country of her birth (Australia) but as we were leaving Australia permanently shortly after her birth, we never bothered.</p> <p>We'll get LO3's British passport as soon as s/he is born (within a couple of weeks) and register their birth with the US embassy as well with the aim of getting him/her a US passport soon thereafter as well.
