DS is 2 and no imaginary friends yet. He does talk/babble to himself a lot though!

I didn't have one growing up.

My almost 3 year old talks to someone when she's playing but when I ask who she's talking too she gets weird and says "no one mommy" so I'm just letting her have that. I think this person's name is "sweetie" but I know nothing about her friend ;)

My 3 year old has 2 imaginary friends that she is very passionate about some days. Some days they don't exist at all.

My LO has just recently developed an imaginary friend - she is 3 and her friend is a boy named "B". B most often "eats too many strawberries and is sick" so she has to go check on him and tuck him in so he can rest. Sometimes she references the "good B" and a "bad B" but usually only "good B" hangs out with us. B likes to go to school with her and play with her in the sandbox. B also loves blueberries, but (predictably) he usually eats too many of those and gets sick too and has to get tucked in so he can rest.

I wasn't expecting imaginary friends this early!

For about the past year my DD (almost 4.5 years old) has had an imaginary friend named Yoki. He sleeps upside down in her closet, and they have a mutual friend named Very. Yoki is five and goes to school pretty much seven days a week. His grandmother lives in Mexico. I could (and probably should!) write Yoki's biography. The level of detail that she comes up with about him, just off-the-cuff, always surprises me! I'm pretty sure my imagination has never been that vivid. I'm also wondering how long it will last (I never want it to end! It's too cute!).

Does your LO have an imaginary friend or did you have one? How long did you or your LO's friend last? I want to hear more of these stories! This is one of the more fun aspects of parenting, for sure.
