It makes me so so happy since my sister and I are really close but live 4 hours apart and only see each other a few times a year. I love that they love talking to each other and really know each. My best friend lives pretty far away but has a LO with the same chronic health issue as LO and we get the kids together as much as possible and they FaceTime quite a bit. Her and this little girl had made a strong connection at just after 1. We moved over a year ago and they're still super close through visits and Skype. One is going to bed while the other is waking up. We told her mom that we were moving overseas, and they came to visit us last weekend!! The two kids were so cute and close together, that it made me realize that they've really maintained a long-distance friendship even after she moved away to the opposite coast. More than I can say for most of my cross-country friends!!</p> <p>My kids also stay in regular touch with their grandparents, although my grandparents aren't as savvy about taking pictures and videos and sending them.</p> <p>Does your LO have any long-distance friendships? </p>
