He is a mover (place him in one spot and the next moment he is on the other side of the crib), and we have a breathable bumper in place. But I keep a teddy bear in the corner and have another toy attached to the crib side -- he plays with it when he wakes up in the morning (and I frequently find him at night sound asleep holding onto it). We also have a bumper on his bed. </p> <p>What's funny to me: we maintain two homes (one in the mountains and one in the 'city'). At both, he has the exact same crib/bedding. In the city, he always sleeps in the exact same position. He doesn't get the concept of a lovey at 10 months, that's fine with me! I used to tjust take it out of her crib when she's fall asleep, but at about 9 months or so, I decided to just leave it in there. Now she's 16 months, and she has a teddy bear and a blanket she sleeps with every night.
