DD is 3 and we don't have assigned chores but she's expected to do a few things around the house. She tidied up her toys before bed. She puts her laundry in the hamper. She puts her dishes in the sink and hangs her bib up after meals. When she comes into the house she hangs up her coat and puts her shoes together on the mat. Basically it's all related to tidying up.

DD is 3 and loves to be a "big helper"- she unloads the dishwasher with me, puts clothes in the washer and moves them to the dryer, cleans up toys, dusts, wipes the table, and helps with baby sister (sings to her, hands me wipes when I change diapers, etc- basically anything to keep her engaged while I take care of the baby lol). She also helps me cook quite a bit- washes fruits and veggies, cracks eggs, measures ingredients, and stirs stuff.

We probably won't assign the girls chores, but they will be expected to contribute to the household. DH and I don't have assignments either- we just take on what we can when we can and the house stays relatively clean.

She feeds the dog, puts dirty clothes in hamper, puts dirty clothes in washer, helps load and unload the dishwasher, puts her own trash in the trash can, puts dishes in sink, cleans up toys. Some she does on her own others we have to ask depending on the day. She loves helping me, though so she usually asks to do stuff when I am like the dishwasher or cleaning mirrors/Windows and dusting. I doubt she will ever have set chores really. I'll expect her to just help out when I ask.

Not chores officially in any way but when she is a little bit older we will for sure. Right now she is 19 months and so interested in doing everything we do so we have just started letting her help. She "sets" the table which really just means I hand her one thing at a time and she put it all up on the table! It keeps her busy for at least 10 minutes while we try and get dinner done.

Her other favourite thing to do right now is put her clothes from the laundry basket into the front load washer and yell "all done".

At 8 and 5.5 they are expected to strip their beds and bring down all dirty laundry on Saturday. I started this with DS at 6 and about 4 months ago DD insisted on doing her own so I let her

Also the 8 year old has to clean the bathroom sink in the kids bathroom and collect trash from upstairs on Thursdays.

Dishes, tidying up, etc aren't chores - they are household things that everyone helps with

We also don't have set chores; however, he's expected to clean up any mess with toys that he's made or put his stool back after he's brushed his teeth. He'll also put his plate in the dishwasher once he's finished with dinner, and put his books back on his shelf after we're finished reading. In the morning, he wants to turn off his fan and night light and also open his shades himself. So we're trying to teach him that he has responsibilities to help around the house.

We don't really have set chores. We learned that having "assigned" chores just turned into "well that isn't my job!" if we asked them to do something that wasn't "assigned" to them, so we just set the expectation that EVERYONE helps with ALL chores.

They typically take the recyclables out to the trash, help put laundry away, and keep their room tidy. Sometimes they help fold laundry and put dishes away too. They are always expected to clear their plates and put their belongings where they belong. Basically they just have to be helpful, clean up their messes, and contribute to the household!

Kind of. She's too young to understand us calling it a chore. She is expected to help clean up her toys before nap and again before bed. We aim for her to do at least 50%. She also feeds the cats twice a day - gets the food out of the closet, takes it to the bowls, we help her scoop, she dumps it in, and then she takes it back to the closet. She puts her dirty clothes in the hamper. She pulls her high chair to the table for meals and puts it away after.

Happy with it for now, always thinking of what else she can do. She loves to help clean, especially dust, but it's not expected of her yet.

We haven't really done a whole chore chart or a talk about what DD's responsibilities are but recently we've started really making her help clean up toys at the end of the night and make sure to put her dishes in the sink. The plus side to that is little sister follows suit. She sometimes takes her clean laundry to her room. That's about it. No realy set chores here.
