Sometimes...we still have to remind him a lot when it's with strangers but he's gotten much better over the past month or so.

She says please, thank you, excuse me, and you're welcome. Sometimes she does it on her own... sometimes we have to remind her. She's more likely to do it on her own with people she knows.

LO is 2.5 and pretty good about it. We taught 'yes, please' and 'no thank you' pretty early on so I think its just what he thinks you're supposed to say! He killed me the other day when out of the blue he said 'thank you for making my hat mumma'

Older lo is pretty good. Sometimes with strangers she's shy in general. we have to remind her sometimes but for most part she's a polite little girl without needing prompting.

My 15 month old sticks out her hand and says her version of thank you and sometimes she means thank you but other times it means I want that

She needs reminders, but she's only three, so that's developmentally appropriate. I'm more concerned with her being gracious, thoughtful, thankful, kind, and she really is those things.

She's so srange with her manners, strangers, other people always says please and thank you (might have to prompt if she's feeling shy.) At home she all of a sudden has been DEMANDING things and saying "RIGHT NOW" and I will look at her and say "excuse me" and then she says "Right now please!" but then other things like she will whine/cry about needing her medicine and then after it is finally done she will say in the saddest voice "thank you for giving it to me mommy" hahaha I'm like oh honey you're welcome, it's the saddest sounding thing ever.

At 2.5 years, has fantastic manners. I'm really proud of this because we've worked hard on not only "please" and "thank you", but also on "what's your name", "nice to meet you", "how are you today/how was your day", and other social things to say. I started teaching her a few other polite stock questions when she was constantly asking people their name over and over again, so now she has a whole arsenal of small talk. :)

Her favorite things to ask right now are "how do you feel today" and "do you have any brothers/sisters". Hahaha sometimes she goes overboard, but most find it sweet.

I'd like her to learn "excuse me" to interrupt adults, but I do think some of that is just the nature of being a toddler. They don't really have impulse control.

We work on it a lot with prompts and a Manners Time book. We won't give him anything he asks for without saying please. Sometimes that's good and sometimes bad like when he asks please for a timeout.

So far, as much as he can be, yes.

He will say peas. Usually it's "mo peas" (more please), although I do have to remind him a bit. Sometimes he will nod like "yes, that's exactly what I mean mom" but won't actually say the words.

Manners are definitely a top priority for DH and I. DS is 18 months and has been copying words, but refuses to copy "please and thank you"! Arg!!!! When I tell him to say please, he'll just nod at me like I'm asking him please. D'oh!

Yes, she is super polite. I know they work on manners at school, and we've worked some at home, but they also just seem to be her personality. Hoping this doesn't change!

DD1 (2.5 yrs old) has amazing manners and it warms my heart. We haven't hammered it into her, she has just picked it up on her own. She says please and thank you without prompting 95% of the time, and the only time she ever uses the word no, it is always followed by a thank you. Her little 'no, thank yous' are the cutest. :-)

She has manners sometimes. Often when I tell her to ask nicely she just adds the word "nicely" to the end of her demand. She rarely says thank you to strangers unless they directly hand her something she really wants like a cupcake.

For the most part she's pretty good. We get a lot of please and thank you. "Sorry" when she bumps into things. "No please" instead of just "no".

She says please and thank you a lot and now knows how to ask for something with, "May I..." This morning her nanny and I were talking and she wanted to tell us something so she started shouting, "EXCUSE ME, EXCUSE ME!" because we've been teaching her to say that when people are talking to each other. Not the shouting part though, ha.
