We taught 'yes, please' and 'no thank you' pretty early on so I think its just what he thinks you're supposed to say! I'm really proud of this because we've worked hard on not only "please" and "thank you", but also on "what's your name", "nice to meet you", "how are you today/how was your day", and other social things to say. I started teaching her a few other polite stock questions when she was constantly asking people their name over and over again, so now she has a whole arsenal of small talk. :)</p> <p>Her favorite things to ask right now are "how do you feel today" and "do you have any brothers/sisters". Hahaha sometimes she goes overboard, but most find it sweet.</p> <p>I'd like her to learn "excuse me" to interrupt adults, but I do think some of that is just the nature of being a toddler. We haven't hammered it into her, she has just picked it up on her own. She says please and thank you without prompting 95% of the time, and the only time she ever uses the word no, it is always followed by a thank you.
