@Mrs. Turtle: Haha! Yeah no! I never paid attention to her feet before she needed shoes... But I feel like they got meatier now so getting the right shoes is a pain!

@GoGoSnoGirl: Girl she's gonna walk anytime now! But at least as an early walker she can wear looser/soft soled shoes

Ha! Yep, my 11mo has really thick feet. We haven't really bothered with shoes much yet. Hope they thin out by the time she's really walking. Lol!

Yes! They're almost as tall as they are long it seems. I just assumed this would change before shoes were necessary but maybe not?! Uh oh. He's a short, chunky baby anyway and I guess his feet match.

@gingerbebe: I know, it's so strange! K is not a big girl either. 16 mo and still fits 18 mo clothes!

My son has wide fatty hobbit feet - and he's not a chunky baby at all. He can basically only wear Stride Rites in wides - preferably the kind with 2 adjustable velcro straps - and Crocs at the moment.

My son did until he was about 3. Now he's 5 and I think he has a fairly high/pronounced arch. Lots of velcro shoes don't work for him now since the straps don't have enough length to accommodate the arch.

@snowjewelz: So freaking cute! I remember when I was pregnant after cooking basically the entire thanksgiving dinner, I got super swollen the next day, and I kept thinking my feet looked like a toddler! Not in the cute way though...

@Smurfette: Yes! I can't stuff her into these cute slip on's, and mary janes... Forget it! Good to know they will thin out! I was getting really sad that she can't wear cute shoes!

His feet are so big and meaty. My SIL loves buying him shoes which is so nice but she buys them without him and I try to explain he is not a typical kid with those feet! The day we brought him home from the hospital we took a picture of him with his cousin who was 3 months old- my nephew was of course much bigger but my LO's feet were bigger!!

LO did when she was little. She couldn't wear mary jane type shoes. Luckily she has outgrown it.

Like... They have a really fatty top part? DD already has big feet for her age (16 mo, was a 5 by 12 mos, now 5.5). Her feet are also wide-ish (tho she fits into M sneakers). But I think b/c her feet are slightly wide (or they just fan out like a duck), plus that top part of her feet are SO meaty, I can't stuff her in most shoes unless they have a big opening!
