He takes Claritin daily, and it works well to control the itchy eyes and stuffy nose. We make sure to keep the windows closed and change out of clothes when he comes home from school. He took Zyrtec last Spring through Summer and this Spring was brutal for him. We have since switched to Allegra and he's doing fairly well. I also use essential oils. He has had some food allergy tested that showed a reaction to Avocado but we only did some basic environmental testing that was negative. I just had extensive blood work to figure out my health issues, and included in that was the allergy blood panel test--I found out I'm highly allergic to Bermuda grass, cedar, Kentucky bluegass...then moderately allergic to a few other random plants. My oldest refuses to take any sort of meds so she suffers the most. Does your LO have seasonal allergies? What do you do outside of meds to give them relief?
