My 16 month old has been taking off his diaper for about a month now. A few weeks ago we were skyping with my husband (on my laptop) while he was away for work. Next thing we know, b has taken off his diaper, walks over to my cell phone, crouches down, and starts peeing on my phone! He's taken off his dipe to pee a few times since then. He also takes it off just to be naked. Maybe it's a sign he's getting closer to being ready to potty train? He only does it if it's full of pee and one time a poop (read my DH's story below). He runs up to us and says "naked" after he takes it off. lol We now have to keep pants on him at all times. :silly: </p> <p>My DH wrote up this story of what happened to him last week when he was watching our 2 kids while I was at a doc appt. </p> <p>***<br /> I was helping my newborn daughter with her tummy time without thinking too much of the silence that has fallen over the house. “Where is AJ?” I thought out loud to my daughter. A hopeful part of me welcomed the silence, but the logical part of me wondered what he was up to. The silence didn’t last long, several minutes at the most. Soon AJ joined us in the play area and started playing with his toys. I glanced over his direction did a double take.</p> <p>“Something is off here.” I examine him carefully. “You’re half naked. Where is your diaper?” I examine him again. “Why do you have crumbled granola all over your butt, and le…?” “You pooped!” My mind is now racing with all the horror stories I’ve read online, and pictures I’ve seen of my niece and nephew coloring their room with poop. I quickly place my daughter in a bouncy chair and pick up my son to head towards the bathroom. As I pick him up, he starts Liu Kang’s bicycle kick from Mortal Kombat, and now pieces of poop is falling off like peppers from a pepper shaker. These corn flakes are now on my shorts, and on the living room and kitchen floor. I ran around the first corner, and lo and behold is the open diaper with poop littered on the ground. I danced around these landmines, but soon realized the poop is camouflaged perfectly against our poop colored kitchen tiles. That was when I decided to go all in and make a jump across our infested floor. I zeroed in on a clearing, bent my knees, inhaled deeply, exploded with the power like nuclear fission, and hoped to not slip on a hidden land mine as I descend from my take off. </p> <p>The graceful landing was more than I could hope for, and I got my son safely in the tub and cleaned him off. In the end, I had to scrub all the tiles, and anything that I believe he came in contact with.<br /> ***</p> <p>Does you LO know how to take off their diaper? How old were they when they started? </p>
