We haven't had a chance to do it again since then and it was basically the summer by then anyway. Our club's outdoor rink just opened up so I'm about to order skates for both girls. My nephew is 12 and hasn't been willing to try it till I basically said we're all going today. Definitely bundle her up really well and put snow pants on her!! I haven't been since high school and completely forgot how much a beginner falls. Lo didn't have a helmet and asked me if she could have a safety helmet like all the other little kids. Oops!</p> <p>It's been almost two decades since I've skated so I definitely need to relearn before taking her back out. My brother used to be a really good skater years ago so he took her out on the rink with him. They also have those guards that learners can use out on the rinks. Think walker from Up!<br /> She really liked it and would get right back up after falling. She took a break after going around once and wanted to go back out. </p> <p>Has your LO been ice skating before? Do they like it? </p> <p>There is an indoor rink about 5 minutes from our house. I'm thinking this could be a fun winter class idea for next year! </p>
