My LO wants to walk. I pick her up from daycare in the stroller since it's located on a busy street with some crazy intersections. The whole time she's in the stroller she talks about how she gets to get out and walk when we get to her neighborhood (about four blocks from home). I prefer the stroller though since I have a newborn in a carrier. The empty stroller becomes quite a burden.

Only walk or be carried. Occasionally we convince her into the stroller after the park with a snack.

@mrbee: @Alivoo01: N will be three in October. He only wants to be worn on his terms. Usually he tells me "Bubee ups I walk" I guess he just needed extra snuggles.

Lo looooves her stroller! we keep it by our door in the apt and rarely fold it since we use it every day, and she climbs up in it and says "outside!" super cute until she gets upset if we aren't actually leaving then ;)

@MrsRcCar: @mrbee: DS asks for hugs when he wants to be picked up. When I bend down to hug him, he'll koala bear me and I know I've been tricked. lol Sometimes, he truly does just want a hug though so I never know!

DS doesn't mind/enjoys sitting in the stroller, but if we're stationary too long, he gets antsy and wants out. If there are other kids around, he prefers walking and hanging around them.

N loves to walk most often. He did shock me the other day and ask for ups the other day.

E loves to be worn or ride in the stroller. He is still too little to walk long distance.

@T.H.O.U.: The problem for me is usually pickup from summer camp! I don't have a carrier or stroller with me, so my only option is to carry her.

At her preschool we could leave park her stroller there all day - but her summer camp doesn't have anything like that.

Will Olive still be carried in a carrier? My daughter will still go up on my husbands back in our Ergo. She obviously is way too big for it now but we want to get a bigger SSC that she could still use for long walks (like when we have to park and walk to an event).

Our kids go through phases!

Right now, our daughter (almost 4) has been begging us to carry her everywhere. Yesterday I didn't want to carry her in the sweltering heat, and she sat down and said she was too tired to walk. In all fairness though, she spent a lot of the day outdoors and was just exhausted.

My son loves to just relax but feels that he's too old for a stroller. We only take out the double stroller if we're going to be covering long distances on the weekend. Even then, he gets nervous that one of his first grader friends is going to spot him in a stroller! So he is basically a full-time walker at this point.
