We play the Suzuki Method violin music. We discovered DD#1 would "sing" herself to sleep in the car with it when she was about 8 months old (she was freaking out in an unfamiliar car seat at my in laws and my MIL had the tape - yes tape - from DH's childhood violin lessons in the car. we then bought the music for our iPods and started using it as a sleep cue at naptime.

We play white noise and I play love by nat king cole on repeat for naps and bedtime. Really helps Olive sleep! I shut it off after she's asleep.

@Bao: I've never used one but I've heard from other parents that they help with morning wake up time. Might work for naps too?

I play 2 songs and then it changes to white noise (ocean sounds) after. Could you use one of those toddler alarm clocks that turn green when its okay to get up?

We have been struggling with rest time for A lately so it was suggested to us to use music as a timer. We play a calming CD and when the music is done she is allowed to get out of her bed. Our calming music solution isn't very much so I need to pick up a couple more CD's for her to listen to. Preferable 45+ minutes.

Does your LO listen to music while napping/resting, or at night? Any recommendations?
