@artbee: those rough mornings usually happen when i just can't bring myself to get out of bed! otherwise, i do look on the video monitor and try to pre-empt her cries, just to make things a bit easier.

@Andrea: Does your LO have a normal wake up time? Maybe you can just wake her up about 5 minutes earlier then she normally wakes up, so you won't have to deal with those rough mornings.

My LO is always happy if we wake her up in the morning too. But if we wake her up at night because we've been out and she fell asleep in her car seat then she gets very upset with us, but that usually doesn't last.

She is used to it now since we get her up at 6:30 for daycare. She pays us back by waking us up at 6:30 on the weekends.

Charlie doesn't like being woken up in the mornings. He lies in bed and groans... just like his dad did growing up!

She doesn't seem to mind either way. She sleeps in our room still so she's pretty used to us being there. I thought it might make her freak out when she'd wake up and we weren't there but so far she just kinda plays around until we notice she's up. When we wake her up the most she'll do is grouch for a minute or two.

I haven't woken my LO up too many times, but she doesn't seem to mind it when I do. :)

This morning we had to wake the LO up earlier than usual because DH had to get to work earlier and he does daycare drop off. She was so happy, though, and I noticed that she never gets upset when we need to wake her up. But if she wakes up and one of us doesn't hear her right away, the whole morning gets off to a really rough start because she takes so long to calm down. I assume this goes along with her separate anxiety issues. She would rather know that we are there and get woken up than wake up alone.
