I'm always the last to pick up my little guy so he's ready to leave. However, he has no issue when I leave him, he crawls away and starts playing. He will turn his head and give me a brief wave though. Like "seriously mom, leave."

My daughter is only 4 months, but when I pick her up from the sitters house, she instantly smiles when she sees me.

Last week, my LO (9.5 months) cried when I picked him up. He was very upset until I put him back on the floor and he crawled away and started playing again. I felt terrible!!! Like, what, I'm chopped liver? But then I realized that it means he loves it there and didn't want to leave his buddies! He's only ever done this once, though. Normally he smiles and starts jumping up and down or crawls towards me when I pick him up.

This was Wagon Jr. until a few months ago!!! We'd have to bribe him or drag him out kicking and screaming, and it always took FOREVER! He did this from the FIRST DAY he started daycare. I still remember when I went to pick him up, he saw me, then ran straight to a toy and wouldn't make eye contact with me. Chopped liver. We remained chopped liver until a few months ago. I think he sees his friends all run straight into their parents' arms and wanted to do the same. Now it's so nice at the end of the day to see him smile and come and give us a great big hug! Plus it's so much quicker to get out of there!

She needs me immediately and is ready to go home. Not like in a panicked, get me out of here, way. Just a mom I am so glad you are here, lets go, don't leave me.

Both Charlie and Olive don't want to leave daycare when we go to pick them up because they're having so much fun! They've been there for 8 hours! On the one hand it's great that they love daycare so much. On the other hand... we're chopped liver!
