So cute!

DD loves to play in the dirt. In fact, the other night she got so filthy after her nap, I made her eat dinner in the bathtub, lol! (No worries; she thought it was really fun and has been asking to do it again ever since.)

No. She would eat it. When she gets older I'm all for it though- my MIL bought my niece a book about all sorts of fun things to do in the dirt.

Yup, we just planted some herbs in the back. He helped plant and now helps to water them. Our neighbors gave us a bunch of tonka metal dump trucks and he loves shoveling the dirt in and out of the trucks.

Not actual dirt but she plays in the sand and grassy fields all the time. I'm ok with dirt but mud requires a bath immediately afterwards.

Our LO really LOVES dirt. Most days we let him play in it for a bit in our backyard.

We went to a local playground cleanup and flower planting today, and Charlie had an absolute blast! He planted a ton of flowers. He also stepped on a bunch of flowers, but net net I think he came out ahead.

Here's a pic from Mrs. Bee:

Afterward we asked him what his favorite part was and he said, "playing in the dirt." That really made me stop and think. Although we get plenty of time outdoors and go to the part pretty regularly, Charlie rarely gets to play in actual dirt.

So now we'll maybe clear some of the weeds in the backyard to give Charlie access to the dirt. Haha, so funny that we as parents try to stimulate our kids with fancy stuff... and all they want to do is play in the dirt!

Does your LO get a chance to play in the dirt?
