Ok, I'll have to try this napping thing. My living area is pretty much totally childproofed, but I've still felt weird about it.

@chopsuey119: DH did that last weekend. When he woke up, DD was sleeping on top of him. Hahaha. Win-win!

@chopsuey119: that sounds awesome! I'm hoping my LO will let me nap someday! I got a ton of baby proofing to do until then!

@artbee: it's been a few months.. I used to (still do) take naps on the couch for about 30 mins to an hour while Lo played. Haha great parenting I know.
I just made sure the house was baby proofed, she had access to all her toys and I napped! She would come over to me every once in a while but recognized that I was sleeping and would just on back to playing :)
Haha try it. :P :)

@chopsuey119: When did your LO start playing well independently? Mine's not quite there yet. She always wants my attention. Not fun when I have a migraine and just want to chill for a second!

Yes. He usually has no problem playing without me unless I have my computer out. He always wants to bang on the keys. We skyped with my family today and he loved it at first, but once he realized I had the computer he was done.

Yup, he plays independently pretty well but only at night when he's having his down time. Otherwise he's running around with us all day.

Very well. I've helped her to be independent from the start by not hovering, not leading or directing her play, and by allowing her near total (as long as she's safe) freedom to explore. She plays on her own beautifully, and then comes to me when she wants some love or for me to play with her.

I wish! Hopefully as she gets older? Right now she needs my attention 24/7.

My LO plays well by herself, comes over to me for hugs and some attention, then goes off to play again.

When she sees me on my phone or computer she begs for Pororo though. :P
