Definitely out and about! A contrast to DH and me who are major homebodies.

DD loves to be out and about! We had gross weather a few weeks ago and we didn't go anywhere for a few days and I could tell the difference!

Home! I am always the one dragging him out. He would be fine playing legos all day at home, while I wish he just wants to go to the park to ride the bike so I can run after him and get some exercises in hahaha.

I wish he likes to go out more so it is not so painful to drag him out but I also have friends who has kids that really need to be out all the time, and they can't even have a break when they needed.

We both love both. She'll ask to go home and relax after a long day :) Home is mainly free play and she loves it.

DD1 is fairly happy either way but it's obvious that she recharges by being home. Sometimes when we have non-family company visiting she will ask to go sit in her room for a few minutes. (She's 2)

DD2 is only 7 months but when we are home she is crying or whining 50 to 70 percent of the time (depending on her sleep that day) but when we're out she is happiest most joyful baby, even with skipped naps. Which is a bummer because the rest of her family is some degree of introverted.

DS loves being out and about. He's a real busy-body and always wants to go somewhere and do something. He absolutely thrives in preschool.

My older LO doesn't mind going out for a bit, but after a few hours she asks to go home, out her pajamas on and play with her toys. She really likes the comfort of her own home. I am sort of the same way, love being home but there are times I love being out and about. Her tolerance for being out is pretty low, I think. I think it's good for her to get out other than going to school, but if she isn't feeling it then it's no fun for anyone.

Last night, for example we tried to go to a community Christmas party. There wasn't a ton of people there at the beginning and it was about 3 minutes in she had a meltdown. So our entire stay lasted 8 minutes. That was after DH took her out to talk to her. I'm sure some of it is just the unknown of what we are doing and who is around us but it gets a little frustrating. Maybe we need to stand back and let her warm up for a while at events where there are crowds before just diving in.

Does your LO enjoy going out and about and doing things, or do they like staying home, and are completely content with that?
