I am always the one dragging him out. Sometimes when we have non-family company visiting she will ask to go sit in her room for a few minutes. (She's 2)</p> <p>DD2 is only 7 months but when we are home she is crying or whining 50 to 70 percent of the time (depending on her sleep that day) but when we're out she is happiest most joyful baby, even with skipped naps. She really likes the comfort of her own home. I am sort of the same way, love being home but there are times I love being out and about. Her tolerance for being out is pretty low, I think. I think it's good for her to get out other than going to school, but if she isn't feeling it then it's no fun for anyone. </p> <p>Last night, for example we tried to go to a community Christmas party. There wasn't a ton of people there at the beginning and it was about 3 minutes in she had a meltdown. So our entire stay lasted 8 minutes. That was after DH took her out to talk to her. I'm sure some of it is just the unknown of what we are doing and who is around us but it gets a little frustrating. Maybe we need to stand back and let her warm up for a while at events where there are crowds before just diving in.</p> <p>Does your LO enjoy going out and about and doing things, or do they like staying home, and are completely content with that? </p>
