Yes he does and has since he was born (currently 12 weeks old). We try not to and at least not all night but he sleeps much more soundly and for longer stretches. I don't sleep as well because I can't move around or stretch out. I think part of it is because when he sleeps with us he's propped up on my arm and it helps the gas.

Yes, they both do at 6 months and 3.5 years. They wake up around 6am in their own beds, but 7:30 in mine! Too bad I sleep terrible when they are in bed with me.

Yes, we co-sleep and co-bed for part of the night. I do enjoy my few hours of sleep without her in the bed, but after she wakes it's easier for all of us to co-bed & her nurse as she pleases.

@Mrs. Tricycle: How do you make sure he doesn't roll off you when he's sleeping on your chest? You're sleeping too, right? That is the only way ds will sleep so far.

During her sleep regression the only time I got any real sleep was when she was in bed with us. I did a lot of dreamfeeding just to survive in those days. After she finished her regression, she suddenly didn't sleep well with us at all, she is a mover and needs her space. Also, our noises will wake her up now, which they didn't when she was smaller.

Yes. It's our fall back when she wakes up in the night and won't go back down. She *always* falls back asleep easily in bed with us. For that reason, she usually spends full nights in bed with us when she's sick. I hate that we get in the habit of co-sleeping b/c I am much happier when she sleeps in her crib, but it is sooo easy, and it makes her so happy to sleep all snuggled up w/ mom and dad..

Nope. He never has slept with us - thinks ts play time. I have tried on a few occasions when he is sick - he will sleep on my chest but not actually in the bed.

My LO will sleep 12 hours in our bed straight, however in the crib he's up every 1-2 hours. I sometimes think he just needs his win queen bed!

Same as most everyone else; yes as a newborn, no as an 8 month old. Dude thinks he should have the whole bed and get pissy if we think otherwise.

Yes! At least during weeks 3-5 (where we are now), he's much easier to sooth back to sleep and he falls asleep much more quickly when he sleeps with me. Oddly, I also relax way more when he's on my chest - I think it would be disruptive, but I have significantly more anxiety when he's sleeping someplace else. It'd be nice to co-sleep in bed with DH, but he's a super heavy sleeper so for now we're on the couch. So never thought Id be one of those moms!

I'm not so sure. We fee off of each other so if he stirs I stir and if I stir he stirs. But I do get more sleep that way.

Yes, far far better. I can't do it, otherwise we'd probably cosleep full time. My husband sleeps with her on her floorbed part of the night a few times a week. They also snuggle up for morning naps most weekend days, which is adorable. I'd personally say that most children would sleep better with a parent or sibling. Not all.
