I've done a little bit of research and there are some health benefits to sleeping in total darkness so I have them sleep without a light. They are probably not super significant benefits but whatever! We had a light up pumpkin that we put in her room for decoration, and once we put that away she insisted on another light, so we put a different night light in there. I think she really just likes it so that she can see better to play and read! LO2 doesn't sleep with a night light, since she doesn't know any different yet. </p>
