Once she dropped the morning nursing session on her own (sometime around 16 months?) she would cuddle in the morning without nursing. But she dropped it on her own, then for a week or two Dh had to go to her in the early mornings. Basically if it wasn't one of her regular times to nurse she was usually (not always) ok with snuggling.

She's been weaned for a while now and is a huge snuggler these days. I love it.

@babybean404: only after we weaned! It took a few days for her to get used to the idea, but now she's super snuggly.

My oldest would not. He weaned at 18 months and my husband had to take over bedtimes for a while. My second will happily snuggle to sleep and not ask once for milk. Totally different kiddos, but it only took my first a couple weeks to stop asking.

I'm wondering how long I'll have to wait before my LO will sleep near me, let me rock her, etc without having to be attached to the boob. She's 14 months and still nursing three times a day and asking for milk more often!
