Sometimes we'll be eating at home and each be eating the same thing, and she'll feed me her dinner and she'll eat my dinner.

Last night, I made grilled cheese and soup and she asked for a peanut butter and jelly instead of grilled cheese, so I made her one. Then, she saw me dipping my grilled cheese in soup, so she started dipping her pb&j in my tomato soup. I was pretty grossed out, but she seemed to think it was delicious.

@Junebugmama - very good point! I don't have to order off the kids menu for her either which is cool since we like to go to nice restaurants that don't necessarily have a kids menu.

My bonus son does this still and he's 4. However, now he asks to try it, instead of just grabbing it lol. The best part about this for me is that he has a very wide pallet for a little guy. He likes to eat salad with balsamic dressing, he loves goat cheese, and actually enjoys spicy food. He's not just eating mac n' cheese and chicken fingers like many of his peers. He enjoys all types of food because he was introduced to them so young.

My baby isn't old enough for that yet, but I've seen it a lot with freind's kids. My plan is to order what I want to eat for her, and what I want her to eat for me :)

My daughter is always interested in what I eat or drink. I could have the exact same thing as her but she wants to have mine not hers. I guess that is the classic toddler syndrome of "what's yours is also mine". The benefit is that it keeps me from eating any junk food in front of her since I don't want her to eat it!
