I have to explain why I need to hold his hand ("because the subway station is crowded and I don't want to lose you."). He'll agree but then the next time I hold his hand, he will say, "It's not crowded now! I don't need your hand!" The kids are growing up so fast! My three-year-old daughter loves to hold hands though... so maybe I have another year or two left there. :)
