@BabyBoecksMom: Most nights it's less than a minute. Some nights it's just a few seconds. When he was younger he could soothe himself back to sleep by sucking his fingers and holding his blankie. Now as soon as he finds his blankie he's fine.

Sucks to still hear him cry all the time (now that he's talking, we try to ask him why he's crying, and he never really has an answer for us... I think he's just naturally a cranky, fitful sleeper).

@mrs. wagon: Boo! :-( I was hoping that there was something I could do so she would be comforted without crying. Did the crying get shorter after a little while? Or was it always just a few seconds?

Wagon Jr. is 2 years 9 months and still wakes up crying almost every night, 1-2 times a night. Luckily he only cries for a few seconds and goes back to sleep on his own. But it does suck. I hate hearing it every night :( we've tried everything we can think of but I think it's just part of him.

We sleep trained and stopped nursing at night at the same time. It was somewhat painless, but LO still wakes up 1-2x each night, cries for 5-10 min and then she'll go back to sleep. Is that normal?

I was expecting that she would just sleep the whole night instead. It makes me feel horrible to have to listen to her cry every night and I was hoping that she (and I) would be able to sleep better once we finished sleep training. Is there something else I should be doing?
