@honeybee: Thanks! I'll just have to make sure I bring his blankie/lovey so that he knows it's sleepy time!

@banana: Lol! My husband had to carry DD when I was pregnant, too; she's not nearly as big as your DS, though! Good luck on your trial run; I hope he takes a three hour nap for you!

@honeybee: My husband would have to be the carrier since I have a big ole belly now and he probably wouldn't go for it. haha. My LO is 32 lbs! haha.

I REALLY hope that what everyone says is true...if he's tired enough, he will sleep? I spoke with my DH about it and he said we'll do a test run. We're gonna take him to the beach this weekend and try to have him nap on his stroller. I don't know why but this makes me nervous! lol

What about using a baby carrier? DD has never (like not even once!) taken a nap in the stroller, but she'll still fall asleep in the Ergo if she's tired, and she's almost 2.

We are super strict about his naps too, but Wagon Jr. has taken many a nap in his stroller. He also naps well in the car. The naps will be much shorter than at home in his crib, but better than nothing. I agree with others-- just bring a stroller that reclines (although Wagon Jr. doesn't need a recline), he will get tired enough at some point or another and fall asleep eventually. And if he totally skips his nap altogether, then just head back to the hotel earlier and he'll fall asleep sooner/more easily for bedtime!

She sleeps pretty much everywhere but they are shorter naps.

If you are going to disney, make sure you bring your stroller. The ones you rent at the parks now don't recline (just hard plastic).

I'm in the minority here! My first DD loooved her stroller naps... She'll conk out anywhere. I took her out a lot in the stroller as an infant... #2 also can sleep in the stroller, but lately has been preferring sleeping at home. I think it's a phase though. It depends when I put her in the stroller too... The whole "drowsy but awake" thing applies as well, I think. And I love the Vista for it's awesome canopy that lets her know when it's time to nap.

Maybe after lunch, find a somewhat quiet spot around Disneyland, put his stroller canopy down, give him a blanket and stroll around for a bit and hopefully he goes down!

The last time my son napped in the stroller was at 8 months, he's 16 months now. He's just too interested in looking around to nap in there now, but I do agree with the others, if they are tired enough they will sleep.

Definitely naps better at home but she'll sleep in the stroller if we're out. I use the below UV blanket to cover the stroller (there's straps on the corners) to shield out some of the light and heat, then I tell her to go to sleep - which she seems to understand 'cause she does.

Don't worry, if he's tired enough, he'll nap...but like @Rubies pointed out, don't expect it to be as long or as restorative.

LO takes great naps at home and while I've been able to have her nap in her stroller, those aren't ever as long or restorative.

DD almost always naps at home! She cat naps in the car sometimes & napped in the stroller when she was very young but now she likes to look around when she is cruising the neighborhood!

LO won't sit in a stroller so stroller naps aren't an option for us. I would just get to Disneyland when they open and stay as long as possible before he needs to nap. If he doesn't fall asleep in his stroller, then you can just go home. We went to Legoland today and that is what we did. We were there from 10 - 2:30 and then she napped in the car. Will he nap in the car?

LO used to take better naps in the stroller, but for about a month now she takes better naps at home so we make sure to get her home for naps too. If she had to, she'd sleep in the stroller, but it woulnd't be as good of a nap.

Since the day my son was born (he's 2 years old now), he's been taking all of his naps at home. I think he took 1 or 2 naps in his stroller when he was younger but 99.9% of his naps have been in his bed! We just manage to work around his nap schedule because we're just strict about his naps.

Anyhow, we're planning on taking him to Disneyland in a few weeks and I'm nervous about if/how he will nap on his stroller! Any tips or advice? Do you think he'll nap on his stroller or just be up the entire time? Does your LO take better naps at home or while on the move?
