Schedule. Don't they say most kids thrive on them, anyways? I know I don't like too many unstructured days

DD thrived on a schedule, but DS was way more flexible! He will nap anywhere and we just take him wherever. Now that DD is older she's a lot more flexible too, so we no longer worry too much about planning events around naps and things.

Yep, but so do my husband and I. Going with the flow doesn't appeal to me at all, I get nothing accomplished that way.

We follow a general routine with my son (23 months) but we're not very strict with it. Honestly I feel like the more rigid you are with a schedule, the more they need that rigid schedule. Sort of like a vicious cycle!!!

Twin mama here...schedule is a must!!! Otherwise I would literally not have a moment to breathe, go to the bathroom etc.
they thrive on it, they like eating & going to sleep at the same time and they're quick to let me know if something is being done out of order!

He rolls with the punches on the weekends because we don't follow a routine on the weekends and does ok but he definitely better about napping during the week at school with his very set routine.

DS thrives on a schedule. We might get off by half an hour or so some days but overall he needs the rest and structure that a schedule provides. We tried to be go with the flow and feed on demand except we realized we have a highly distractable and easily overstimulated baby who's not interested in food. Once he was on a schedule he was a different baby.

She is pretty flexible but routine is good. So she can go down for her nap or bedtime half an hour late when needed or something, but we don't totally just go with the flow. I think she (and i) would fall sort of in the middle.

Nope. We're not schedule people, and I would have hated to have a kid who required one. We just go with the flow of the day.

Definitely a schedule. He was sttn at 5 weeks old and was always fed on a schedule. He just "worked" better that way, and honestly so did I. He was always a super happy baby on a schedule.

We got a little lax on LOs schedule over the last several months and then took a weekend trip which completely threw her off her schedule.

She got so cranky and out of wack. Poor thing! We've spent the last two weeks working to get everyone back on the same page.

I always worried I was too rigid with her routine, but now I know it is best for everyone.

Does your LO like a schedule or are they more free spirited?
