Lala taught herself this weekend. She has pretty good technique and was even able to pick up rice! Her sticks were too long for her, so she had to stabilize them with her other hand when she got close to her mouth. We were super impressed because she just watched and then did it! Let's see if I can get my phone to post a picture.

Yes, she loves using them! We have these trainer ones: http://www.amazon.com/Edison-Training-Chopsticks-Handed-Children/dp/B001RITF0A/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1355177628&sr=8-7&keywords=trainer+chopsticks

I started somewhere between 2 and 2.5. They are super easy for her to use.

We have some trainer chopsticks with grip guides that sound similar to the ones Banana is talking about. DD is not really into them though. She also has some kiddie chopsticks that came with a bento set. She likes those but does not use them regularly. We started introducing them around age 2 but we haven't been very consistent. This reminds me that I should try and encourage it more though.

We tried giving my son the Pororo chopsticks that Mrs.Bee suggested, but he didn't want to use them. He likes using our metal ones and poking his food with it (just one chopstick).

And if so when did you start, and with which kind? I want them to be normal to Toddler Girl as she grows up.
