Half the time she wants to play when she wakes at 5-6, or she's gassy and needs to work it out so we have to get up. The other half I can feed her and get her to fall asleep in bed with me til about 9ish. I dread the days she wants to get up bc it just makes a long day for me before daddy gets home.

Yep, C is the exact same way. She doesnt wake up screaming hungry, so i usually let her fuss for 20 minutes for so before getting up to get her. After she eats, i put her in her swing and she'll fall back asleep on her own while i go back to sleep. I can normally get her to sleep another 2-3 hours, sometimes more.

Yes! This is when my LO is the happiest, and my DH swears it is when she looks her cutest (her eyes are always so bright). I usually oblige and play with her for an hour and then she goes back down until 830 or so. It is almost impossible to get her down at this time because she is so alert and energetic.

My LO used to do that at 4am, but now it's a little later. He sleeps one long stretch of 5.5 hours, but won't go back to sleep! I wish I could go back to the 2 hours, feed and go right back to sleep a few times. Ugh.
I wish I had advice, but I have no idea what to do about. I can just commiserate.

My LO is very alert at 7 am and ready to play. DH is not early riser so he is not a fan but I don't mind getting my day started then.

After my sons first morning feed that happens after sunrise (ie after 5 am) he wants to play - I don't make eye contact, keep the room dark, etc but he still coos and is so smiley after that feed. He wants to be up for one hour only and the. Goes back to sleep for another 2-3 hours. He's 2.5 months.

Sometimes it works out fine because he doesn't have that feed until 630 or 7 and by then I'm happy to start my day. But when
he wakes to eat at 5 it's brutal!

Does anyone else have an LO who does this?
