It's happening now unfortunately. And she's only 2.5. She's always had low sleep needs, and now they are even lower. Now she's sleeping only about 10 hours at night most nights, and naps are getting shorter and shorter. She's my little non sleeper. My baby consistently sleeps 1.5-12 hours overnight and naps 3-4 hours a day (sometimes more). They are so different.

My LO has traditionally had really high sleep needs, but as she's gotten older, her sleep has been shorter and shorter. Is this everyone's experience? I mean, of course, eventually kids grow up and become adults who don't usually sleep 12-14 hours a day, but I wasn't sure when the transition would happen.

On the weekends LO usually would sleep 8 PM until 9 or 10 AM, and take a monster afternoon nap never shorter than 2 hours, but usually 3 or 4 hours.

LO is nearly 3.5 now, goes to bed at 8 PM still, and she's waking up earlier and earlier (like 7 AM, which isn't that early in general, but early for her) and slowly but surely dumping her afternoon nap entirely.

When did your LO transition to needing less sleep?
