Maybelline Falsies or VoluumExpress are my favorites - the VE is more waterproof, but harder to get off. I've used it for years and it works like a hot damn :) It's like $6 for the monistat as opposed to the $40 or whatever for smashbox. And also some that are waxier than others (makes the color less intense and makes it harder to apply with even coverage). I always apply foundation to my eye lids and dust them with powder before applying my eye makeup (at least during the week!)</p> <p>ETA: I also pack the shadow in to my lash line. And I never use dry shadow. I usually use a pencil liner for a base (I am partial to black or grey), and then I go over the line with an angled brush that has been dipped in wet eye shadow. (I put a little water on the angled brush and put it in the eye shadow until I make a little *paste*). And don't worry about the pencil underneath being perfect . . . you can smooth over the line (and get the perfect wing/cat eye) with the angled brush.
