Yup! She remembers both of her birth stories perfectly! With my brother she had to go in for an induction 3 times before it took so he was 3+ weeks late. He was sunny side up & she said it was a very painful labor, but even without pain meds yelped once.

For me she didn't realize she was in labor & thought the Mexican food was just not agreeing with her, my dad was watching nova & yelled that she should be glad she didn't have to give birth to a horse & then she realized they should go the the hospital. In the parking lot the car said 10:00, I was born at 10:10 after she refused to push until my dad made it in the room. She calls me lightning:)

I'm hoping once I get pregnant to have her second birth!

She does. She had to be induced for both my brother and me and remembers being in labor with me while the Ohio State game was on. Haha.

All my mom remembers is that she had to walk up a big mountain every day to get water (they lived in a third world country then). One day she had contractions during the trip and hiked straight down the mountain and into an infirmary and had me. She credits the strenuous daily trek for such a quick labor with me. For my brother we were living in the states and she delivered him naturally as well, she didn't know an epidural existed until after he was born. To this day she is upset her dr never informing her of the option.

My mom remembers everything up to her c section. She made it to 7cm before they opted to do it. My sister and I were 2 minuets apart.

My mom does. She ended up being rushed into the OR for a csection. I don't know much about the details (don't know why I never asked) but we both almost died.

My MawMaw has told me on several occasions that she doesn't remember her labors/deliveries.

Surprisingly my mom remembers quite a bit of details from both mine and my sister's birth...... she doesn't remember things that have happened in recent years but she does remember that. lol

I came a bit past edd, her water broke before contractions started AFTER having "fun time", she was in labor for around 12 hours, stalled for quite awhile, got a local, in like 10 minutes she was ready to push...... actually remembers being told when getting the local that she wouldn't feel anything anymore & when she did she started freaking out saying "I'm not supposed to feel anything, I FEEL SOMETHING" and shortly after I came out..... pretty quick from what I was told, Dr. almost didn't "catch me" in time. lol

All these details yet she forgot my birthday this year. LOL

I ask because my Mom has no recollection about mine or my brother's birth! She doesn't remember her due date, if she had an epidural, exactly how long it took. All she seems to remember is that we were both natural births and arrived "around the time" we should have.

She remembers her pregnancy with me because she had morning sickness up until she gave birth! But any real details about my birth, it's like a fog to her! Surely this isn't the case for most Moms.
