I started one for our neighborhood. It's starting to gain members. Our HOA doesn't really do much to give people the info about what's going on. We basically use it for lost dogs, play dates for kids, notifications about things that are going in front of the city council or stupid things our HOA is doing, and any crime that we hear about close by. We have a really bad facebook group for larger part of our community that nothing gets posted on. It is a social networking site for neighborhoods where people can post news, crime, lost/found pets, questions, and classifieds. We've been using it for about 9 months. Sometimes it is really helpful to keep up to date on neighborhood happenings. Other times it is full of people acting plain ridiculous. Someone likes to post videos of dogs using the bathroom in her yard. Another person wrote a very angry post about a pack of tween bandits riding around in a golf cart. Does your neighborhood use it? Any ridiculous posts recently? </p>
