Sometimes I feel like I am working harder to get him to stay awake than to nap! She usually gets 11-12 at night, but then barely naps during the day. In starting to think it's a old wives tale.</p> <p>My LO gets about 11-12 hours total on a typical day. I swear we spent most of our time trying to get her to nap. We've tried starting to get her to sleep at 7. It usually ends in us being extremely frustrated and her not sleeping till about 10pm then she's usually awake before 6am.?</p> <p>How much does your newborn sleep in a typical day?<br /> Anyone's actually get 16-20hours?</p> <p>I was extremely concerned about her lack of sleep affecting her development but my pediatrician doesn't seem too concerned about it. </p>
