I don't think she even wore one in the hospital aside from a few hours after birth. Like @psw27, it always seemed dangerous for smothering risk. But then I was just reading online that they actually don't need to wear them to sleep. What?! No one told me this, I just assumed they are supposed to cuz they lose heat from their head or something. He's pretty bald! How long did your newborn wear a hat to sleep?
