My chihuahua regresses when we have house guests for an extended period of time. She will go right in front of the guest bedroom!

@mrs. 64: One of my yorkies does this. Drives me MAD.

Yes, we have had some regressions. The carpet cleaning company was just here this morning! Grr!

I had a dog who would pee and poop in the house when she was annoyed with us, mostly if we left her for a while. We would always walk her until she pooped so it wasn't that she had to go and we weren't there. Nope! She did it out of spite. She was a very rotten, but super loveable, little dog.

Have you ruled out some sort of GI or urinary tract problem? Or is it more behavioral? Has something changed in your house that the dog is reacting to, like a new baby or someone moving out? Hope you figure it out soon. Doggy accidents are so not fun to clean up.

We have a new pup that came to us potty trained. But she does tinkle a little when nervous, so far when we left her alone for the first time and when dh brushed her for the first time.

Kind of. We have hardwood floors throughout the house. We had an area rug down when we got her as a puppy and took it up because she was house training. Every time I've put a rug back down, she will consistently have accidents on the rug, even if she has just been out. If there is no rug, she is 100% accident free. I think the house looks better with rugs, but for some reason she loves to pee on them. Maybe I should just keep one on hand to roll out when company comes over! Good luck figuring out what's going on with your pup.
