I work PT as a nanny so I did NOT want to be heavily pregnant in the summer. I also work PT as a children's librarian, so having a summer baby wouldn't be ideal since that is our busiest time. Luckily, we got pregnant quickly so I have an early spring due date, which was my ideal date. </p> <p>We did talk about what would happen if it had taken us more than 4 cycles since that would have put me with a July due date...DH didn't wanted to take a break. I don't think we would have taken a break just to avoid a July due date.</p> <p>I think I will feel less pressure with due dates with our second. My husband is off work all summer (professor) so an early summer baby was ideal as then we would have 12 weeks off work together. This is because (1) summer birthdays are no fun as a kid because your school friends aren't around (2) early fall babies have issues with being the oldest or youngest in their grade, which is especially an issue for boys and (3) holiday birthdays are also no fun for a kid!</p> <p>I also have no desire to be in my third trimester during the hot summer weather!</p> <p>However, I was already 36 when I got pregnant this time. So, if we decide to have a second one then due to my age I don't think we will have the luxury of waiting to TTC for such superficial reasons. We'll see.
