We are still using baby wipes with pees and poops. I occasionally flush them (yikes!). Ok, guess I better reconsider my options. Thanks for the post.

I never thought of this, I just asssumed we'd use TP when it comes time to potty train.

We only use TP because most "flushable" products are pretty bad for wastewater systems (and since DH is a wastewater engineer, we try to be aware of that stuff).

We also let DD wipe herself and then we "spot check" afterward. She does a pretty good job by herself, but sometimes needs a little help.

@mrs.wagon: do you allow him to wipe his own bum after a poop or do it for him? we are struggling with this because DD wants to do it herself but we haven't let her for fear she won't get clean enough.

We use flushable wipes from Costco. Mostly to ensure we get all the poo. He comes home from daycare with major skidmarks sometimes.

The first week or so we were potty training he would stand after pooping, stick his bum out and say "wash the bum!"

@purrpletulips: cute on the "rella" wipes! Good point, cleaning up poos would be easier with wipes. Although, most of the time, her butt is completely clean after pooping on the potty, amazing!!

DD uses both. She started potty training using just TP but cleaning her up after poop could get difficult so I bought some Huggies flushable wipes in a Cinderella container. Well, DD loves them and asks to use her "rella" wipes whenever she goes but in reality she is about 50/50 on TP vs FW. I have some generic ones that I keep in DS' diaper bag for when DD has to go while we're on the go and also try to buy generic refills if I can determine they will work with the dispenser.

DD has been using Kandoo flushable wipes because a fellow mom recommended them to me. I think the advantage is that they just use 1 wipe at a time versus pulling a ton of TP off the roll. Does your LO use flushable wipes (what kind?) or do they use regular TP?
