In any case, at the school I work in, we don't really celebrate anything but there is a holiday assembly with both Christmas and Hanukkah songs performed by the choir and band. No Kwanzaa. No mention of Ramadan if it falls during the school year and no Diwali either. Some schools do not celebrate halloween over here but tbh it's not really as big a thing anyway. But I've never heard of not celebrating christmas. Whether or not it's part of your faith it is part of our countries' traditions. It's super anti-Halloween actually. The official reason is because we have Jehovah's Witness students (although I don't know whom or how many). Interestingly, we DO celebrate Christmas. We call it "the Holidays", but we sing Christmas carols at a school-wide assembly (with 1 Chanukah &amp; 1 Kwanzaa song). So our pre-K teacher celebrated "Harvest Featival" instead, complete with costumes! Seemed like the exact same thing, more or less. Maybe with fewer zombies though.</p> <p>She said that instead of Christmas, our class will celebrate "the Holidays.".
