@Rubies: Awww how fun! My LO still isn't doing the real crawl yet! She is a great army crawler, but has only taken about 4 steps on her hands and knees. And she's starting to climb up me, but she doesn't climb up furniture. I'm ok with all of this though, I want her to stay my baby forever.

Nah. Neither of us do, really. I mean, we love LO, but it doesn't really manifest in getting teary-eyed, ever.

My hubs definitely gets emotional, but then he's in touch with his emotions in general. Also anything to do with family is heavily loaded for him since he lost his sister, mom, and dad all in quick succession. I love watching men get misty over their kids. It makes me go all gooey :)

My husband almost never cries (as in, I've never seen it firsthand) but he said his eyes welled up when we took our daughter to the doctor and she got her first shots and started crying. Mine did too! And then we laughed about what softies we are.

We don't have a LO yet, but I'm sure my hubby will get emotional. We're really close to his cousin's kids and we've watched them grow up since they day they were born. He's always in disbelief how fast they grow and how they look more and more mature each day.

He also welled up in tears when we were rehearsing our vows at home prior to the wedding, and cried big fat tears at the wedding so I'm sure he'll be emotional once we have LOs.

Yay for taking her fiesta steps! She's so ahead of the game!

I'm the one who gets sad about lo growing up. Dh is excited about it, he thinks she's more fun the older she gets.

Omg I didn't know that she took her first steps! WOW!!

Back to the topic, yes, DH does get emotional. A lot more than I do even. Maybe it is because they don't see them as much as we do. They love their girls! :-D

Last night I was talking to hubs about my daycare tour and going through the pamphlets when suddenly, hubs stopped, tossed the papers down and wiped his eyes. His eyes welled up and I asked him what was wrong. He said that he can't believe that our LO growing up so fast and he's missing so much of her life because of work (LO took her first steps this week) and before he knows it, she'll be breaking his heart because of some "dumbass loser boyfriend".

It was sooooo heartbreaking!

Does your SO get emotional when it comes to your LO?
