Sounds mean, but I had cats and I put bleach tabs in the toilet so it NEEDS to be down so they dont drink from the toilet. I NEEDED him to get use to that. I griped about it when we first moved in together, but I just accept it now (5 years later). I would prefer that he put down the seat and the cover (because when you open something, you close it!!) but he just doesn't.
