I have to admit that the husband and I aren't the healthiest of eaters. Husband's job is pretty intense during the day and he doesn't get time off to eat. He's stuck to his computer so it's always a quick ordered meal for his lunch. Dinners are usually either some korean think I could whip up easily (usually not too unhealthy) or we order out depending on how easy/difficult the day was.

Our downfall is dessert!! that and our recent sedentary lifestyle. Husband ran the marathon two years ago and wanted to keep it up, but with the baby, we don't find ourselves with a lot of free time. I used to work out pretty regularly myself. Hopefully in the coming months (and especially when it gets warmer out) we can be a more active family!

Rob Sr. can pack it on but he can also drop it in the snap of a finger. Hate him (in that regard). Since we became parents we have so much less time and energy to eat, and we need to go to bed so much earlier to be able to survive the next day. So our bedtime went from midnight/1am ish to 11pm at the latest. That has been pretty huge for us. And we just eat less in terms of quantity... we still eat pretty unhealthy sometimes though.

Oh, we also have so much less time and opportunity to drink. Not that Rob Sr. drank much before RJ either... we just drink socially. And obviously we don't go out much anymore ;) He does love to share beers and single malts with friends when they come over though. I think he appreciates alcohol so much more now, now that he can't drink it just whenever he wants.

DH is a little overweight but he takes pretty good care of himself. He goes for a physical every year. He doesn't eat too bad and tries to eat healthy. He can do with a little more exercise but he works long hours and is usually too tired.

Hubs has always been active and has the metabolism of a growing teen - eats and eats and can't gain weight. Me? Now that LO is 6.5 months, I am finally starting to think about how I eat and exercising. I want to be active with my kids!

DH and I have always been conscious of healthy eating and exercise. He's the exercise guru and I'm the healthy eating (everything in moderation) guru. Neither of us were off the deep "bad" end on either so it's been an easy adjustment for us. We're working on getting better and better each year, but for the most part -- consider our lifestyle to be "healthy"

DH just started a new fitness regimen about 3 or 4 months ago. When we first started dating, we were in great shape, and over th last 10 years have gained more weight than either of us is proud to say. So far he's down 30lbs and still going strong. Gym 5x/week and watching what he eats regularily. So proud of him!

My husband eats pretty healthy, but doesn't get enough time off work to exercise regularly. Luckily he doesn't just sit behind a desk. He counted his steps at work once... He walks an average of ten miles during a twelve hour shift! So he gets some exercise.

He's pretty healthy - works out 4+ days a week, drinks only occasionally, and doesn't smoke. But, he is sleep deprived and stressed (secondary to work). His eating habits could also be a lot better, but he's working on it. We eat pretty healthy during the week (and for the past month or so I've been packing his lunches)....but, weekends we love to dine out and eat takeout. And he eats too large of portions.

When we first started dating, my DH was overweight (although didn't look it) and did not eat well or take care of himself. He was really depressed about it because he thought that it was just his destiny, that there was no avoiding it. I bought him a pedometor and helped him watch his portion sizes and now he's lost a ton of weight and training for the NYC marathon!

I've always taken good care of myself but defnitely started doing a better job once DH and I started dating.

He talks about exercising but it never seems to happen. I'm partly to blame, my head always hurts so after work he has to come help me with LO. But he could take her on walks.....

My DH eats like crap and doesn't exercise. High blood pressure and diabetes run in his family, and I wish he would taken better care of himself. He will eat most of what I cook with few complaints, but when I'm not around, it's junk food all the time. We have talked about how important it is to set good examples for our children, but he feels like, they aren't here yet, so live it up! He's only 26 so I feel bad coming down hard on him. If pizza and candy are his worst vices, I can deal :)

DH used to smoke and he still had bad eating habits from being in the college-guy mindset. After we got married last year and started thinking about starting a family, he realized what I had been saying all along. He quit smoking, started eating healthier, and now we go to the gym 3-4 days a week.

My husband takes very good care of himself and is in really good shape. However, it freaks me out that he NEVER goes to the doctor! He went for a regular physical/check-up in January and the dr. said he was healthy as a horse, so at least now I know he's been and has gotten a clean bill of health!

DH just recently started taking MUCH better care of himself after a scary warning from the OBGYN at our pre-conception appointment.

He used to drink heavily every day (I know, BAD!) but for the last 3 weeks he has worked out 4-6 days each week and is only drinking lightly on the weekends.

We also started going to church, reading in bed before going to sleep, and cooking more.

I am really happy with all of it right now!!
